Cuban speleologists discovered fossil remains of giant crocodiles and dugongs that are 20 million years old. The remains date back from the Miocene period.
The fossils were discovered 30 metres below a slope in a cave, 350 km east of Havana. Crocodiles originate from a period that ended 65 million years ago, while dugongs are mammals that still live in tropical areas...
