Lots of good paintings being sold in London recently...Claude Monet's Nympheas sold for $28 mil, Francis Bacon's self-portrait $18 mil, and big surprise - the 1992 portrait of Lucian Freud's friend Bruce Bernard (left) - estimated to fetch $8 mil, was sold for almost $12 mil. and was part of a sale of post-war and contemporary art.
