Last night Iggy Pop received the Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement Award at the Vodafone Live Music Awards (UK). The 60-year-old punk rocker, whose career has spanned five decades, was chosen by a panel of music experts for his electric live performances and iconic anthems. He has been dubbed the 'godfather of punk', is famed for his wild onstage antics, which include stage diving, cutting himself with brokenbottles, vomiting and exposing his appendage.
